What changed in PennyTie and when. Entries with only a month were part of the November 2026 launch; we do not have a more exact date for them and do not guess one.

The short version

  • November 2026: PennyTie launched with a 5-page free tier, a $79 yearly plan, credit card statements, XLSX output, multi-statement merging and a Japanese version.
  • 2026-11-05: the guide articles and the security page were rewritten.
  • Only things that happened are listed here.

2026-11-05

  • Guide articles rewritten

The guide articles were fully renewed.

  • Security page rewritten

The security page was fully rewritten: what is sent and what is not, a threat model, three ways to check it yourself, and what is not claimed.

Not listed here

Features that are not built, such as OCR for scanned statements and QBO/OFX output, are not on this list. PennyTie reads text-based PDFs only.
